Paisios (Eznepidis) the Athonite

Elder Paisios of Mount Athos was an Athonite monk of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the 20th Century.

He is famous in World Orthodoxy for numerous purported miracles and prophecies, a fame so hyped that True Orthodox generally regard it as fantastical, and even as a delusional elder cult. In contrast the True Orthodox are wary of Fr. Paisios for teaching a false ecclesiology—conservative ecumenism.
