Global Orthodoxy, or Global Orthodox, is a term much like 'World Orthodoxy', or 'World Orthodox', which refers to Orthodox Laity, Clergy, and Monastics and the Mainline Jurisdictions / the Patriarchates which they belong to such as the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Moscow Patriarchate, Serbian Patriarchate, Romanian Patriarchate, Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch, Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, and those Synods which Commune with them. The term 'Global Orthodoxy', or Global Orthodox, stems from ROCA Hieromonk Father Seraphim Rose of Platina's Writings where he refers to Orthodox Jurisdictions (Ecumenical Patriarchate, Antiochian Patriarchate, Alexandrian Patriarchate, State Church of Greece, Romanian Patriarchate, Moscow Patriarchate) whose Faith/Orthodoxy was decaying (As they started to mingle with Ecumenism Heresy) as Global Orthodox.

“Global Orthodoxy has not listened to the Synod’s (Russian Orthodox Church Abroad) pleas, and therefore those who wish to remain Orthodox have no choice but to leave Global Orthodoxy.” – Father Seraphim Rose of Platina (1934 - 1982)
